Biography:

Bruce Edward Schwartz focuses his law practice in corporate and business law, civil litigation, real estate law and probate law. He also has extensive litigation experience in these areas.

Mr. Schwartz received his Bachelors Degree from California State University at Northridge in 1970 and his Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego in 1973. He took post-graduate courses at USC.  He was admitted to the California Bar in 1974, and the U.S. District Court and Central District of California in 1977. In 1979 he was admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. Additionally, he was admitted to the U.S. Tax Court in 1982.

Mr. Schwartz belongs to numerous professional associations, including the Beverly Hills Bar Association where he is a Member in the Business Law and Probate Sections as well as the Los Angeles County Bar, where he has served as a Member in the Business and Corporate Law Sections and Lawyer-Client Relations Committee since 1982. He is also a Member of the Litigation Section of the American Bar Association and belongs to the State Bar of California where he served as Member of the Tax Section and in 1986 held the position of Investigator in the Office of Trial Counsel.

Mr. Schwartz is AV rated and listed in the Martindale Hubbell Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers. He is the Author of “A Psychiatrist On Trial for Medical Malpractice,” which was published in the University of West Los Angeles Law Review in 1985. He has also served in other legal capacities which include a position as Adjunct Professor of Evidence Law at the University of West Los Angeles since 1978, and the position of Judge Pro Tem for the Los Angeles County Municipal Court in 1983.  He served as a Los Angeles County Superior Court Settlement Hearing Officer in 1986 and held the position of Arbitrator for the Beverly Hills Bar Association since 1984 and the Los Angeles County Bar Association since 1987.
